Just Bee

In January I began a mission to create a quilt for my sweet niece Kels,  I dropped it off to be quilted (hand quilted no less)  and left on our mission never getting to see the finished quilt.   It's rather like dropping off a child, you become so attached.   It was such fun to make and it's final home would be with a darling couple,  Kels and Noah.   So here it is, WHALLA, finished! 

You don't see many of these around the island.... This is a custom motorcycle which as you can tell is scaled down in size.  Cute!

This could be you if you like to golf.   When in Bermuda this would be one way to get your clubs to the course.

Kite flying is a big deal in Bermuda, especially on "Good Friday".   All business are closed tight, so friends and family can enjoy the day.   People are having picnics, flying kites, playing games;  just enjoying time together.  It was great!   We ventured out to fly kites with our elders, who had made a home-made kite (which is tradition here).  We've made a new friend who sold kites and he cut us a sweet deal.   Dad loves to fly kites.....so he was in hog heaven!

As you can see it is a beautiful place, full of interesting people.

  The roads are very narrow here, some even narrower than average.   Makes for an exciting ride everytime we venture out. 

As we drove past this bulldozer, Dad got all excited.  He thought it was so cool, with all the flowers growing up through it.  It has become one of our favorite landmarks.  When we see the "DOZER" we know where we are.

How about these potatoes!  Found these at the local grocery store, "Market Place" Did you notice the price (for each)?  Wish we had a box from home ; )

They drive scooters here in Bermuda, the parking is easier and navigating the narrow roads is far more doable and much more economical.

These pictures don't do justice to how comfortable we are in our new digs.  We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived.  As you can see it is small but very livable.
